Dear Engineering Students,
I am Shankar, did my M.Tech in Power and Control from IIT Kanpur, B.Tech from JNTU Kakinada Campus and Diploma from Andhra Polytechnic Kakinada.
I worked in General Electric, Hyderabad for 6 years in the field of renewable energy sources. At present, delivering number of lectures in the field of power electronics (since 2007) and delivered lectures in Control systems as well (in the past) especially for GATE/ESE/PSUs. This blog is to explore the various opportunities for electrical engineering students especially preparing for competitive exams. I would like to utilize this blog as platform to share information as much as I can and requesting the continuous feed back for the improvement. I am maintaining this blog after my busy schedule as part of social service and giving back something to the society. If you like it, you can also be part of it

Gen Awareness and Current Affairs

Dear All,
I shared lot of information about electrical engineering through this blog. When I am doing interviews, I observed many students are facing challenges in answering some general questions about India and current affairs. It is expected that a well educated person should know about their mother country, understanding the matters of everyday observation, General and broad understanding of structural (institutions) and functional (processes) aspects of Indian political system, current events of Regional, National and International importance. Some students are good at their core subjects and lagging in these areas. Even though lot of information is available in various platforms, but still there is lot of gap in students.
So, I am planning to devote this web page to provide some information on general awareness and current affairs and some questions collected from previous exams of UPSC, state PSCs and PSUs.
As I born in AP and staying in Telangana, I will cover mostly about India, AP and Telangana state information which will be useful for various competitive exams.
Please feel free to suggest /share your views in this regard so that more number of students should get benefited from this initiative.

BNSS Shankar
