Teachers Day Greetings

Teachers Day Greetings
We celebrate 5th September as Teacher’s Day since 1962, the day commemorates the birthday of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakhrishnan, a great teacher and a staunch believer of education, known for his contribution towards the education system of India. According to Dr. Radhakhrishnan, “teachers should be the best minds in the country”. The birthday of  Dr. Radhakhrishnan came to be celebrated as Teachers Day when some of his students requested him to allow them to celebrate his birthday ‘5th September’. Dr. Radhakrishnan said, “instead of celebrating my birthday separately, it would be my proud privilege if 5th September is observed as Teachers’ day”. Since then 5th September is observed as Teachers Day throughout India. He was the 2nd President of India, but all through his life, he saw himself as a teacher. He preferred to live a teacher’s life. He was committed to being a teacher. He was a scholar, a diplomat, the President of India and yet, quintessentially a teacher. I salute him. Celebrating Teachers Day is acknowledged by UNESCO and fairly popular in several countries across the globe.

Teachers are the real nation builders as they shape the future of every child and mould him/her into a responsible citizen. The great scientist Albert Einstein said, “It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.” The most important quality of a teacher is to awaken in his students, a sense of creativity and the joy of learning. The teacher plays a vital role in transformation. In the life of every teacher, there are incidents of simple efforts that succeeded in bringing about a transformation in somebody’s life.

All of us have been students someday and have benefited from our teachers. I strongly believe that a very poor student can survive in this society and can lead decent life with education only. I am one of the best example for that. On this occasion, I would like to thank for my teachers who are the reason for my social and economic status what I am having today. I am also happy to be part of teacher community in making engineers to the country. Even though I am not a government servant, I choose teaching as one option to serve the country by teaching in India to the young engineers and moving forward with the mantra, Teach to Transform, Educate to Empower and Learn to Lead.

Jai Hind!!!
